how do you think this light would be?

The issue I have with this light is:

- Lack of controls - theres no barns etc to give you a start point for controlling direction. Its just light that would spread very quickly.
- Non standard colour temperature of 6000K. Lights usually operate in 3200K or 5600K. This enables you to work with industry standard light controls such as gels like CTO / CTB to reach a desired colour temp.

Seems like youre looking for something relatively cheap - so whilst theres far better options out there with better controls that are far more expensive, on the Amazon page you linked I saw this one http://www.amazon.com/500-Portable-Photography-Portrait-Cowboystudio/dp/B003ZWNNKO/ref=pd_sim_sbs_e_3

At least this unit has barns and at 5500k is much closer to the standard.

I have 4 of the ones with the barn doors and love the things.
