How do you take screen grabs?

I'm editing a commercial for someone and they want me to email them screen grabs so they can see some footage. I have no idea how to do this in FCP. The cheap way to do this in windows is to print screen but I'm pretty new to macs and don't even know how to do that (the keyboard doesn't say how like a win keyboard would).

I think there's probably an even better way of doing that because the people here post nice high resolution screen grabs all the time.

Can anyone tell me how to take a good high resolution screen grab in FCP?
 
Have the frame you want to make a grab on the canvas or viewer.

click export using quicktime conversion.

Under settings change movie setting to still image. Then click options to select what type of file you want it to be.

save it... done!
 
Just for reference you can do computer screen captures cloverleaf/open apple + shift + 4
Click on one corner and drag.

FCP export best for getting the image but the above works if you need to show another app.
