How do you shoot this?

I have a scene written where a fake news broadcast (one that I will shoot) will be shown on the TV and then I will pull back from the TV to a character in the room.

This is a 24p project, so....how do I shoot all this, including the news footage without getting any "flicker" from the TV?

Thank you

Or 30p. It shouldn't be too much of a change to prevent it from cutting. I had the same problem and did the wide shot in 30p and the rest of the film in 24p. It cut just fine.

I second the Syncro scan feature. Also, if it comes to a last resort, you can increase your shutter speed to around 1/120th to get rid of the scan lines.

greenscreen helps, but the power of After Effects, motion tracking, etc. its not really a requirement if you know what you are doing. If you don't want to do any rotoscoping on this make sure nothing passes in front of your screen. Also, the less motion you have the easier it will be to replace the screen image.

Doesn't sound like you have a budget for this, but Mocha Tracking Station, or even better/even more money is Monet... great tools, but I'll admit too pricey for me!
