How do you play a .EVO (HVDVD_TS)!??!?!?!?!?!?!??

I've spent days searching for what program it takes to play this file. I've posted many times in various mac forums and never got one response.

I requested a copy of something I shot to add to my reel and was I got was a disk that has a HVDVD_TS folder in it. Looks like a HiDef DVD of sorts.

I have no idea how to play this on a mac. What I really need is to find a way to convert this into an editing friendly format but will settle with just being able to play it since I can always do a screen capture of it during playback.

PLEASE HELP! I've wasted way too much time trying to figure this out
 
I accidently burned this type of folder onto a DVD when using DVDSP, the file played find on my MacBook but not on any DVD plater? Is is a stand alone file or on a CD or DVD. you might drag it onto your stock DVD player icon and see if it plays. You might as for another copy using the stadard video_ts files. GoodLuck
 
The files definitely do no play in Apple's DVD player program...

I'm afraid I can't ask for another copy as I had to beg for this one. They asked me what format I wanted and sure enough gave me the one I didn't ask for and the least helpful one.

Sometimes I really wonder how people have jobs when I go for so long at times between ones. Most people I deal with everyday professionally are incompetent.
 
Just another example of wasting 10+ hours on something that doesn't work.

I would give anything to have the power to take away computers. IMO they have made everything far more complicated. In the end, unless we have an agreed upon standard, it take just as long to figure out how to work with all these ridiculous formats as it would if I simply edited on a flatbed.
