How Do You Pack Your Dana Dolly Rails?

I'm looking for packing solutions for the 8' pipe to keep it from getting dinged up. I'm thinking about the foam pipe insulation that has a slit in it. I'm looking for other suggestions.

Mate that yellow pipe foam is completely perfect - its used on building sites to keep people from banging themselves - its not heat insulation pipe

To clarify .. I use standard UK scaffolding (approx 48mm) for my rails (I got black painted tube from a theatre supplier - smoother and more attractive -and also we dont use the black ones for general gripping/menace arm duty), and this foam stuff is made for impact protection (not heat insulation) for those exact tubes.

Im guessing you are USA so I dont know the difference between your rails and US construction scaffolding.

Overall I think foam is a good protector - its not like Im going to get an 8ft long peli
