How do you land a job as an underwater photographer / Videographer

I already have my license and experience shooting underwater, but I'm interested in getting paid to do it.

It would be interesting doing it with IATSE 667 - local camera.
but im not sure if I'd have to join them and specialize in underwater video.

But, anyways, I would like to start on smaller indie productions.
where would I search for such jobs?

You must show up at the interview in full diving gear...snorkel included. Just let them know "your ready." Should be good to go.

I would think the footage should be consistent with the type of jobs you are wanting to land.
Everyone catch the bad pun?
I worked on a few shows years back that had some water work, but nothing substantial. I investigated investing in a better solution for my own stuff, but it really socks you in the pocketbook putting together a setup from scratch for a bigger camera rig, so I never did. You also needed a different housing each time you got a new, or switched cameras. Now as technology has changed, I can get away with using something like a GoPro for the little water work we do in commercials here.
