How do you guys hear about/find out about Contests?

[Kholi]

Like the Heinz one. Is there a site to go to or anything like that? Or just happen to pass it by?

[Knoxworth]

This site. Word of mouth.

[kiyong]

i get email newsletters from these sites:
http://shootingpeople.org
http://www.withoutabox.com/
and whatever i see on forums. i'm wary of any contest that keeps the rights to your film though.

[Mark Harris]

Yeah, I get emails from without a box like every day. Not sure how many contests because I don't look at them all, but it would be worth signing up for.

yeah, i'm also wondering this! Thanks for sharing the links... and if anyone else has any ways on how to find out about contest let us know please, thanks!

Withoutabox.com...Not only do they keep track of most of the reputable festivals, you can register for most of them through their website. The cool thing is that once you enter all the info for your film once, submitting to a new festival is as easy as pushing a few buttons. I've entered 2 festivals through them, and both times got accepted. I highly recommend using them. Oh, and registering is free!
