Try Film Threat, as they do reviews and browse through the Rotten Tomatoes forum to find critics on there. Also, check out the press material from some of your favorite indie films to find out who reviewed those projects and then contact the people or entities that you find.
Your opportunities depend on what your definition of "credentials" are. If you want Roger Ebert, then you may need to know someone who knows him, get into Sundance or stalk him but there are other reviewers that work on a smaller scale that can still provide you with a useful press clip, even though these people are not on MTV or visiting the Golden Globes.
Have you been to any film festivals? Many of these events are a good way to get access to movie reviewers with "credentials" and some film festivals have staff members who can introduce you to reviewers.
cool, thanks, yea i havent been to any film festivals since i had my films completed two months ago so maybe i'll have to try and look for some to network.
i just didnt know if there were any newspaper critics or popular online websites that you could just submit to in order to get a blurb or two if they like the work.
