How do you dump from your Firestore?

Hey everyone,

This is my first post but I have been reading through this forum for a while now. I have a Panasonic HVX200 and plan on getting the Firestore HD. I need to know how you all dump your footage and where you dump it to when your Firestore is filled up.

My workflow would be as follows.

1. shoot/capture to firestore
2. Once filled connect to laptop with regular external HD attached via firewire.
3. Transfer the files from the firestore to the external HD.
4. Edit from that external HD with FCP

I would repeat the process as filming goes on...(most likely every hour)

Is this even possible? When the firestore is connected to a computer, does the computer recognize it as an extrenal hard drive where I can just drag and drop the clips to the other external hard drive?
