How do you do this cool particle effect?

I am sure there must be a plug-in or something out there.
I normally don't go for fancy transitions, but this one seems classy.

Looks like just a fireworks effect from any particle plugin with glow and maybe blur. Or a smoke explosion with glow.

It looks like someone played with a preset in Trapcode Particular. There are a number of "fireworks" presets where you can change the emitter/color/birth-death rate/etc.

Yes seems Trapcode particular. You can use custom object for particle.
