How do you do a time laps shot on the HVX200?

how do you do a time laps shot on the HVX200 is there a setting that you can access on the menu where it will turn on and capture a sec then turn off automatically, or is the only option to get a time laps is to do it manually, i hope not that would take forever and be a real hassle, so PLEASE tell me there is an auto setting.

Yes there's an auto setting. Go into "recording setup" and choose the "interval rec" option. You can then specify the interval, which can be one frame every 2 frames all the way up to one frame every 10 minutes.
