How do you delete clips from your hard drive?

I capture clips into my bin.

When I hit delete or "cut" them, they go away from the bin, but they remain on the hard drive.

Is there a way to delete a clip from the bin and have it deleted from the hard drive as well?

control click on it and choose "make offline"

a dialougue will open up and ask if you want to leave the clip on the hd or delete it.

Choose delete.
