How do you clamp to fig-rig?

OK.. I have my PVC circle and cam mount (looks pretty damn sexy, I admit..)

How do I clamp either lights, microphones or other accessories to it?

Hmmm

Maffers? I don't know how thick the PVC is, but a maffer clamp might work. That's how I used to attach my LCD to the real, metal FigRig.

There's got to be something at Home Depot cheaper than that. I bet you they have pipe clamps of some kind in the plumbing section.

Try a metal conduit fastener with a 1/4 20 thread bolt drilled through it.

If you have the tools, it should cost you around $0.75 per finished unit.

Yeah, a conduit clamp is what I use and it works great.

Not to be asking to be over indulged.. but can you guys post a pic of your repurposed conduit clamp?

Thanks!

I didn't modify mine at all. I used 1/2" copper tubing to make my figrig and the conduit clamps work fine for me as they are. If you are worried about the long bolts they have running through them, you could always throw any length of 1/4" bolt in thier place.

Not to be obtuse, but.. when you are mounting some of those things that use a camera shoe.. like a microphone or light.. is that possible with a clamp?
