How do these guns look?

Did some touch up paint on them to make them look as real as possible. So, do they look good enough? Shooting a film soon and will be using these.

I remember going through the Star Trek Experience exhibit in Vegas, and noticing how cheesy the props looked in real life. Unless you're going to do real close up of the prop, the camera can't tell. Yours look pretty good and I have some weapons experience. I don't like the black tips on the stainless either.
 
I agree with not painting the stainless with black tips. Other than that they look good. Mine are much worst, and still come off as realistic on vid.
 
Yeah, I used black plastic toy guns with the orange tip ripped off and they work fine, so I'm sure these will pass. The muzzle flashes and sound effects do most of the work in convincing people fake guns are real ones.
 
As long as the chrome ones aren't shiny (kinda hard to tell) you should be ok. If they're shiny, you might have some hot spots and blowout if you're not careful.
 
Paint the black tips to match the silver bodies, don't remove them. It will be unnatural if you remove them.

Dude there's only one way to tell... take one of them into your local bank or credit union and then do your best rendition of a bank robber.
 
If you're shooting outside make sure you have a cop on set. You don't want to attract the SWAT team with those. :kali:
 
Yeah I agree about the black tips. I don't really know what I was thinking when I painted those two black. The two black props looks amazingly real in person so now I need to fix the two silver ones.

nah. itd be much easier just to go up to a cop at random and show it to him. is it a dark scene? then you could just find a patrol officer at night and give him a look

You know, I think what the President of the United States could really use, is a handgun made of dark chocolate. And since he's a busy man, it would probably be best to run up to him real quick, in public, to hand it to him.
