How do Intel CENTRINO laptops deal with audio?

Im looking at a radical studio change. I run Nuendo 3 with a Firewire 410 interface from M-Audio.

I would like to load this all onto a high powered laptop (Im looking at a Dell at the moment), and use it with a docking station as my primary DAW, and use Remote Desktop to connect to my old pc for background processing, storage etc etc.

My quesion is: How do Centrino machines fare with audio processing? My guess is that the large cache will make em run well with all the real time processing most audio software needs, but am I right or horribly wrong?

Thanks guys.

They are good, but are not as fast as say a dual core desktop. 2.0Ghz or faster would be good with a XPS or inspiron 6000. Now, Intel is launching their new yonah processor which is a dual core version of the pentium m centrino very soon - they showed it a lot at CES. www.tomshardware.com

Isnt Nuendo freaken sweet? I run 3 with a EMU 1820M - Lovin it!!
