how do I

[HerzogisGod]

make still images look like they are from a slide show?

my character looks into a box with a circular glass window. i want to show what he sees as some sort of slide show.

what elements, effects, sounds would i need to achieve this?

Well, make stills in your favorite NLE, then perhaps put them inside of some sort of 'frame', and make old style slide projector noises with foley...
