Ok when I get on premiere I pick, my settings and then for the screen setting I pick 16:9 but when I export and when I export I just export the file with no compression it just comes out fullscreen and I want widescreen for a bit of cinematic effect.
Was the original footage fullscreen or wide screen? If it's full screen then you'll have to manually put a widescreen bar on the top and the bottom of your footage.
Well my camera has only 2 setting there is one were it fills the hole lcd screen and there is one where it cuts of the sides, I have it on the full one but that widescreen i think.
Nogert, check out this thread. When using No Compression, players don't respect the aspect ratio field. If you are taking that uncompressed file to another editor or tool (like After Effects), that's fine, you can set the aspect ratio on import. If you want to share it with other people, you need to convert it to a square pixel format.
