How do I set up a midi keyboard?

Not sure if I've posted this in the correct forum; I just got a copy of SONY Sound Forge 10 and am interested in composing some original music cues for our film project. What do I need to properly set up a midi keyboard to work with Sound Forge 10? Am running Widows XP 32 bit on a pc. Any recommendations as far as equipment?

If you want something that works pretty well and is very simple to use I like the M-Audio Keystudio. It uses USB so you don't need a midi interface and the drivers work well on windows.

I bought a $8 USB to MIDI interface from Hong Kong on eBay and never looked back!

Also, I don't think sound forge does music composing-not sure, but still. I use Mixcraft for composing with the M-Audio keyboard mentioned above.
