How do I relink P2 (.mxf) clips in AECS5? (Premiere Dynamic Link :? )

I have 2 hour long clips shot on P2 (HVX-200). I put them into Premiere to Edit, then I Dynamically linked one of the clips to add graphics into AE CS5.

Now I copied everything over onto a backup HDD and want to go to another machine to render out additional stuff in parallel...

But when I open the AE project in After Effect, it tells me 38 clips are missing since I last saved, but it's only the 2 P2 Files (Which are divided up like P2's do)

How do I relink those files? When I select one it will relink, but only the one single P2 clip, so when I lookat the clip, only 10 minutes, or so, of it are there - it only linked to one of the many P2 clips!

Please Help!

Thanks,
Aza

depending on how you've organised your asset folders...
When you double click on an icon with colour bars (telling you it's un-linked) you usually navigate through your folders to re-connect to the missing file. If other missing files are in that folder AE should automatically see them and re-establish connections.

If you asset P2 files are all over the place then you'll have to manually re-link them all.

They are all in the same folder, but AE seems to be thinking that they are one contiguous clip! So even though they're in the same folder, it only relinks one of the clips!...

I've never had this problem myself so it's difficult for me to advise. All I can suggest is that you manually re-link your files. So from your PROJECT window, select an incorrectly linked file and FILE/REPLACE FOOTAGE/FILE and re-find the actual clip for AE to refer to.

Yeah, that's exactly what I did which led me to this issue. Is there anyone out there who has done this?
