Hey,

I am working on a project for school and in my short there is a phone convo, and i used some filters to get that "phone" quality sound effect.... however with that effect the volume also goes down considerably... i have the clip volume level set as high as it will go (12dB) but it is still to low... is there anyway i can raise the audio level beyond 12dB?

if so how?

thanks soooo much

(to achieve the effect i used the bandpass audio filter and have the settings at 2000, and the Q at 15)

Try the Normalize feature and then boost up the gain and if that isn't enough then the easyest way to get it to be louder is to copy and past into new tracks the audio files.
I sometimes use 4 or 6tracks or 3 stereo pairs to boost up audio files that were recorded to low. I will clean up the tracks in Sound Track Pro and then add filters and then take back into FCP and add the copy tracks.
