How do I plug in pre-keyed muzzle flashes?

I just purchased a bunch of bullet holes and muzzle flashes from Video Copilot. THey have a tutorial for how to plug them in for AE, but not vegas.

They are essentially little .mov files. I can't figure out how to resize them and move them where I want (i.e. at the end of the gun barrel).
