How do I Open an SFK File?

Hi,

I'm using old-school Vegas 6.0 and I have some AVI files. They won't open properly. When I click on them, they open in Vegas, but the timeline is blank.
When I click on 'properties' the file is identified as an SFK file. They still show a large file size.
How do I open these files? Thanks!

The .SFK files are automatically created by Vegas when it processes the audio in a file, so it is able to quickly display the waveforms. In other words, if you have footage.avi, Vegas will automatically create footage.avi.sfk as a sort of "peek" into the audio waveforms.

Hopefully you still have all the original .avi files! If so, use just those, and you can just ignore the .avi.sfk files.
