How do I mentholate Tobacco?

I have no clue how to accomplish this, other then the general thought that I need:

1. tobacco
2. menthol crystals
3. a vehicle for delivering the menthol(Vodka)
4. time

from what I can gather one must infuse the tobacco with the menthol flavoring via a liquid....water wouldn't be a good choice, because it won't dry very quickly....Vodka will evaporate much quicker....so I was thinking of mixing the menthol crystals in with the vodka...having a few shots, and then covering the tobacco with it. Then I'd let it dry....and smoke.

Why am I doing this? Why not, lol.

Any advice, recipes, thoughts, rants, pictures of blackened lungs, etc would be greatly appreciated.
 
I can think of better things to smoke than tobacco...but here's how I think you do it:

1. snort the menthol crystals
2. drink a shot of vodka
3. smoke the tobacco

Works for me!
 
You da man! I searched for awhile on yahoo and got crowded by places selling smokes...commercialism, you gotta love it.

as for cigs...I stopped smoking a month ago, and I just decided to start smokin cig tobacco in a pipe. I want to stick to tobacco without additives, and have menthol ultra light....sad thing is I can't find any ultra light additive free menthol tobacco....I'm sure I could eventually, but this gives me a good excuse to experiment a little, which I love to do.

messing around with this, my camera, photography, reading, etc....it all helps to keep my mind off smoking so atleast I'm not smoking much, lol.....I have over a week til I'm back on set.........so, lol......

I've already started mixin in mint with my tobacco, and that's pretty good, and I've been stuffing ciggarette filter tips into the stem of the pipe....it all helps keep it smooth and fairly light
 
I actually am smoking american spirit right now, but it's a bit on the harsh side...I'm doing all I can to mellow it out. I'm just about to order a different brand soon. I'll be getting Golden Harvest Ultra Light and mentholating it myself....you see natural american spirit doesn't have a very large selection of tobacco by itself....they have alot of cuggarettes, but not plain smoke.
 
I don't think I'll need much alcohol for applying to the tobacco, so you're welcome to a shot or three :thumbup::beer:
 
I don't know if anyone else here rolls their own, but I found a pretty cheap source of tobacco....the drawback is it isn't completely cut. For me it doesn't really matter if it's a perfect cut, cause I'll be packing it in a pipe:

I'm gonna get their light tobacco, some vodka, some menthol crystals(already ordered these off E-bay) and I'll be smokin' on the cheap in no time....and getting drunk on vodka :)
