How do I make my videos letterboxed?

Something like this.

I'm using Sony Vegas and I can't find a way to make my videos more letterboxed.

Everytime I upload my videos, it fits the full youtube but I would like for it to have some letterboxing.

Anybody know? Thanks.

Crop the top and bottom of the frame in your NLE. You can render it with the black bars, or without. Youtube's video window is 16:9
