Well I asked my friends and according to them, my rape scene is not quite as explicit as The Last House on the Left remake. They mentioned that one, cause that was the worst they have seen to compare it too.
You should be aware that "The Last House on the Left"(2009), if that's the one you are referring to, was produced in South Africa, and like many places, the 'refined sensibilities' that may be seen in the US, may not have seeped into these other regions.
You should also be aware that major Hollywood productions have gotten a pass on the provisions/requirements of "2257" because... well... 'they collect a lot of data about their performers anyway, so someone most likely 'looked' at an actor's or actresses' 'valid id' before casting them in a part where 2257 applies'.
Independents outside of the euphemistically called 'independents' which are really majors, but the majors didn't put any money in first.. don't have that 'pass'.
I ran in to this a while back when I was thinking about a script that had a sexual scene that resulted in a death, aka murder. My script had 'scantily clothed' females and a male (soon to be dead male...) engaging in apparent sexual activity. Because I like to know if there is some hithertounknowntome law that may be in operation... I looked at what porn producers are required to do for record keeping. And looking at the law, it seems that many 'R' rated films should have a notice of compliance with 2257... they don't... why???
Anyway...
I'm sure that if you were in LA, San Francisco, or New York, you could probably get someone to work on your project, but no money means people would work on it because 'they want to' and most likely for the resume building name on IMDB or credit roll.
But as the Doctor says... many people don't list credits when the material is legal albeit 'objectionable' on some sort of morals grounds.
