How do I fix this camera problem before my next shoot!!!

Somehow during the shoot, I lost the battery charger for my Canon T2i. I looked all over several times, the set, the vehicles, and my place, but couldn't find where it would have gone. I found out it was lost, after I arrived to shoot, but thought I packed it. So I could only shoot to till the batteries ran out. I have another shoot this weekend, and still cannot find the charger. I tried buying one but every store in town says they have to order a charger cause they don't sell them on their own. That will take three weeks as well as any internet orders, won't be in by this weekend.

My only option is to borrow the camera of someone I know but no one I know owns the T2i. Some friends have camcorders, but they don't know much about the camcorders. I don't know if they shoot in 24fps, or if the screen size is 1920 by 1080. I don't know anything about the shutter speed, aperture, ISO, color balance, etc. So should I shoot this weekend with one of those, not knowing much about it? Will my picture look too different and I won't be able to make it look enough like all the footage I shot already for my film? One of my other actors has another movie the week after which she has to change her appearance too much and I won't be able to reschedule after this weekend.

You could cancel, but where do you live that it takes three weeks for online orders to arrive? You should be able to buy something on Amazon or Ebay and expedite it for two day shipping. Or less.

Well I kind of went overbudget, and did not have the money to get that fast of shipping. But I wish I would have dipped into another account maybe, and got the shipping down faster. It's too bad how all the batteries in the stores are not sold already charged. I guess I could ask around if anyone has a cam that would suit the needs and looks the same enough.

I don't know where you are... but 3 weeks??? If there is a camera store that has a T2i, see if they have a demo... see if you can charge your batteries at the store...

For Amazon the shipping for 2-3 days is not all that much...

How about an AC Power Adapter Kit. I would rather have an ac stinger trailing along behind than to loose a job.

OK, look at the worst case scenario: you're simply unable to use a t2i for the shoot.

Do you throw away everything you've already done because of it? If push comes to shove, and you have to shoot without the t2i, then use whatever you can get your hands on. Will you ever get a perfect match? Maybe not, though you may get close. Would you rather trash the whole project?

Thanks I will see about using another one. Of course I don't want to trash the whole project. I looked around for an AC power adapter thing but that has to be ordered in too. One girl I know has some sort of camcorder. She says it's high quality but does not know specifics.

Topic is not actually 'Cinematography' at all.

Why not post this where users of your specific camera "reside" and maybe someone can help with some loan batteries?

Posting here is time wasting if you are in the middle of a shoot!
