How do I erase a hair in a scene?

I have a scene in which a hair lock sticks out. I want to erase it. What is the best way to get rid of it, given the fact the head moves? Blur won't work here as the hair should be erased altogethe. Thank you.

It depends on the shot composition

How long is the scene ?

Is the background (behind the hair) static ? or do other objects move ?

Any lighting or scene changes ?

If it's a static background, you just roto out the hair and replace with a clean plate

It's hard to tell from a still photo how the shot is composed (eg. is there camera movement, what kind ? zoom , translation, perspective shifts - these all affect how a repair can be done) , but it looks like it might be a lot of work

One way to do it is use motion tracking / remove tools like mocha pro with additional cleanup in photoshop and AE .

You extract the entire segment of video as a set of stills, and then go through each one and paint it out.
+1 ... I'm bad with After Effects and other fancy things, but doing this in Photoshop (though slow) looks great if done right.
