We shot HD 1080p (i believe) then it was captured to my DP's
laptop/external. When I get the footage, how do I down rez to SD
for editing in Vegas 8?

also the footage was captured as .mov files in FCP, is this footage an issue as
well for vegas?

side note: I plan on using SD footage from my camera(DVX) in addition
to the Sonys HD footage.

Thanks.

If the MOV files were encoded in AIC or ProRes, then yes, you have a problem, no PC can read these files. You need to load the files on FCP first, and down-res them there, to a lossless codec that Vegas also supports. I would suggest Cineform, if your guy has that codec around.
