how do i do surround sound with fcp?

hello all, i have a g5 dual 2ghz with a klipsch 5.1 suround sound aand also a power book 1.67ghz, and the full production suite, fcp 4.5, motion soundtrack live type and everything i bought it all new and now im wondering how do i do suround sound like everything from recording to getting to play from my dvd through all the speakers. like i wanna do the classic hellecopter starts behind u right and move front left, how do i program all that. can anyone help. i have some called peak or something. thank u.

Buy Bias Deck to work in surround... but here's what I do for cheap. Isn't really surround, but comes close. I build my sound design in Soundtrack then export as single tracks. They I use APack that came with DVDSP and design using the 5.1 audio set up. Then burn the dvd using that audio track.

Work well.

QT 7 and FCP5 are going to have multiple channel output. Right now you can only out 2 channels.

Give it a shot in Soundtrack.

lol but i havent even the slightest idea what ur talking about, i make my music in soundtrack and thin import it into fcp and then i export using compressor under a preset i made thats 24fps i know very lil about sound.
