How do I do a double blue screen in After Effects? DIFFICULT QUESTION.

I have a blue screen scene in which the blue is not totally even. A single blue reference in Keylight is not enough to be clean. I need to key out a darker blue in one part of the shot and a lighter blue in a another part. I tried to make two layers and key for each one and then mask out the parts of the screens I want to keep and impose them on a final key. In theory this could allow me to key as many parts of the screen I want in any way I want and combine them all. HOWEVER, after trying this I noticed that a keylight effect can only be applied once on the same shot, no matter how separate the layers are. All layers will be set to the settings of the last layer. This brings up the issue again. Is there a way to prevent this? Otherwise, how can I do different keys for different parts of my scene? Thank you.

Follow up question: How do I color correct the foreground of my chroma scene if it is made up of differnt layers without affecting the background?

Thank you. :bath:

you can precompose them, means generating a new composition, just containing your foreground footage - then apply your color correction to that composition...

Edit: i think if you select your foreground layers and then press your right mouse button, you'll find an option called pre-compose...
