How do I delete my account here?

All you have to do is produce a full length documentary on why you want to delete your account, upload it, and prey it's good enough to win in the "delete my account category" it's all really simple.

Ha, I'm not smart enough to produce a damn short film, let alone a documentary....Anyway, I'm being serious, how do I cancel my account here?

Should be in settings, either that or send a pm to one of the mods, they should be able to help you out there.
 
Most forums simply say - stop posting. If you've posted embarrassing or awkward stuff in the past, many forums have a standing rule that the mods can close an account at their discretion, BUT, the content stays. It's rude and bad net-equette to wreck old topics by deleting entries, as it then makes no sense. Some forums will remove your user name - perhaps replacing it with "lapsed member" or something, but don't forget that many old posts will be archived by the various net crawlers. If you don;t wish to post any longer, then stop posting. I have postings on loads of forums I'm no longer interested in - Google finds forums I'd forgotten about.

In this case, contact a mod and ask, with a good explanation. If you libelled someone, or perhaps posted things that will get you into hot water, they might take pity on you, but usually a quiet request works better - we're all now scouring your old posts looking for the reason!

I've had a look and can't see anything weird? Most are asking for help - and you got loads of sensible replies. It's a bit discourteous to waste all those contributors time and effort helping you. So why not just not come to the site any longer, and those comments might help other people in your position with the same questions?

What new threads? The thread I made recently was three days ago but now I'm thinking I just want to close my account all together but since I can't, then I'll just stop posting threads because I'm not finding what I'm looking for here anymore. It's as simple as that.

I think you missed his humor, he's referring to the thread you started to close your account. Idk, I thought it was funny, clever, at the same time.
