So theres a lot of complaint that the majority of DOF adapter users shoot footage that all looks the same and I've heard time and time again that DOF is only a tool and should only be used when you the filmmaker feel it's necessary.
I guess after using my adapter for a few months I'd agree and my biggest complaint is that the field is sometimes so shallow it takes away from my scenes.
I wish the unit was easier to take on and off so I could use it for the shots I want and then go back to deeper DOF with ease but thats not the case so I'm forced to ask How can I get a deeper DOF with the unit in place on the camera??
Is there settings on the camera (I really don't want to hear close the Iris because it's such a struggle to get enough light in the first place) or can I position the cam nearer/farther away?
It's nighttime so I can't experiment right now or I'd let you know my findings. Let me know your thoughts or experiences with this. I'm thinking about having a two camera system in place to film my next project if I can't find a solution to this.
