How do I add plugins and ffx files into AE?

Hi I'm a beginner in after effects, altough I know the basics.
Well my question is how do I add/import plugins and ffx files into AE, that I downloaded of the internet?
So I can use them in AE.

close After Effects,

you go to your C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects 7.0\Support Files\Plug-
ins folder, make a folder there, and copy the files there

open After Effects, and voila they will load.
