How do actors get demo reels put together?

I've been asked to do this for an actor in my movie and I want to help him but how is this done usually? He has a few commercials for large corporations, a few indy shorts, my movie. Some of them are on youtube and I know there are websites that download youtube and vimeo but my experience is that they never look that good.

I use Premiere version 5.

Obviously, hard copy is preferable to rips off youtube, but for an actor's demo reel, the point is their ability, not the visual (as much). So, even a 480 version will help that.
