How did he do this?

Hey.

Recently came across this "Fan" made Street Fighter video that really impressed me. (the guy is a professional director.)

The director uses an very effective effect, where after a big punch or strike lands, he cuts to an extreme close up of the fist.

I'm just trying to figure out how that particular effect was accomplished so that I can try it myself.

( I actually asked the guy on myspace straight out and flat out ignored me! The nerve, lol)

Is there a specific time in the video where the effect takes place? Because from what I can tell, it's just straight up editing. Some of the shots jump cut to a closer shot. Is that what you're talking about? That's just done by scaling the footage up. It looks like the final output of the film is 720p, so he might have shot it in 1080 to avoid any quality loss when scaling.

Looks like it could have been a multi-camera shoot as well.

All of his effects are from videocopilot.net

Plug-in twitch I see and also some of the flames are all from VCP.

VCP is like when morph first came out.... It was kool but then people morphed everything.... It then faded away because it was over uses... same all the VCP stuff. But hey looks kool if your a home user
