How can print magazines compete with video?

Electronic paper? Finally.

On the other hand, consider environment impact. We already receive tons of junk in our mailboxes, but at least it can be pretty easily processed into gray low-quality cardboard. What about electronic paper? Everything electronic is a threat to environment, and if one thinks that in this time of outsourcing it threats only Chinese soil, then think again: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endicott,_New_York#Pollution

The junk gets harder and harder to reprocess, and by the way, the junk reprocessing rate in the U.S. is one of the lowest compared to other developed countries. They should've tried it in Germany, it would provide quite some jobs for removing these stupid video screens from thrown-out magazines.

I would like having something like this for instructional books (like the HMC150 book) though. Instead of a DVD, I would have a TV right in the book, so I can read and watch how-tos right away. Convergence can be a good thing after all.
