This is fair warning to everyone considering buying a new DVX or those interested in purchasing add-on lens.

Do not be suckered into the deals that include a wide angle lens and teleconverter. These lenses are cheap, don't do what they say, and will effectively make your footage look like it was shot on a Palmcorder.

You have been warned.

Heartbreaking. :'( Turn one of the best cameras on the market into crap with a $20 lens. Sadly a **** load of packages on eBay include that junk and if someone doesn't know better they will use it and not know they are effectively destroying the DVX footage. :'( :'( :'(

disjecta: with all the fantastic footage you've supplied on here, why the warning? you didn't do that, did you? :D

(BTW, wish I'd seen the warning sooner about 5 months ago ::))

I've seen a lot of questions recently about these lenses. I did it with my previous camera so I am intimately familiar with this crap. Never on the DVX, baby.   8)

I second the Century vote. I have both the tele and WA and am highly satisfied with the quality.
