How can I import HD trailers to Vegas?

Hello there,

I just got the Vegas Studio and I have been trying to import some HD movie trailers with no success at all...

Is there a way to import files like these into Vegas? I tried the 480p trailer from Ultraviolet and couldn't do it...

Thanks in advance to any answer and sorry if this was already commented here...
 
What format are they?

Keep in mind that Vegas Studio is kind of bare-bones and doesn't have near the set of abilities that Vegas 6 has, including certain codecs.
 
Sorry, I meant Vegas 6, not Vegas Studio... I have Vegas 6.

I try to import some HD trailers I download from Apple Quicktime Trailers page... and some of them I can import into Vegas 6, and some of them not... I dont know why...

For example: I can't import the 480p trailer from Ultraviolet but I can import the latest trailer from Scanner Darkly at 700...

Maybe I'm just confused and I'm doing something wrong... I'll check that again and try to do it or fix it or whatever.

If the file has a copy protection code embedded, you won't be able to open it inside of Vegas.
 
Ok, thanks a lot Spot,

Yeah, it's probably what you say, Spot... cause some trailers work fine and others just won't import... so i guess it's about the protection code... ok, I'll have to compress them into DV files and then import them into Vegas 6... I tried that way and it works..
