Heyyulp!
When I capture footage from my mini dv camera onto FCP 5.1, nasty wobbly horizontal distortions appear al over it. It's worse when there's movement in the shot, i.e. during a camera pan or someone moves across camera. I know this must have something to do with interlacing. The footage was filmed in 16:9 25i PAL, and I have played about with the settings in FCP - changing the field preference from odd to even, etc but to no avail. I know the footage is ok as I have captured it into Avid Xpress on my PC and it looks fine.
This is the first time I have tried to use FCP for importing, so I know it must be something daft Im not doing...
Can anyone help?
Cheers
