How can I export Titles to Premiere?

I created titles with shadows in After Effects. I exported them against green screen into an AVI file so that I could import the AVI into Premiere. I then use ULTRA to place the titles on the scene. This works fine for the titles except that the shadows of the titles are not quite clean.

What would be a btter way of exporting from After Effects without usin green screen?

(I purchased the software separately so I can't use the link-bridge option to go back and forth between AF and Premiere).

Thank you.

you could Export the AE file as a png Image sequence without the greenscreen background - this won't be playback and hardware friendly though...

I never knew that you can't dynamic link when you purchase AE/Pr separately??
But yes, what Stefan says above should work (using a PNG so you can have a clean transparency). Not sure what your title is, but if you just created basic text with no animation, it could be imported as just a single PNG still too which would be easy / won't have to deal with the PNG image sequence.

Use an alpha channel instead of green. Just leave the background blank in AE and render it out with alpha channel enabled and it will work exactly as you imagine when you drop it on your timeline in Premiere.

Amadou is on record (for 10 pages!) saying that he'll never go the subscription route, so this is most likely an earlier version of AE/PP.

BTW, doesn't dynamic link mean that one only can't do the "replace with AE comp" command, but is still able to drag and drop an AE project file into the project panel? Would be worth a try.

Yes I have gone on record saying that I will not pay a monthly rental fee for Software that I already own. I have Premiere 5.0 and After Effects 5.5.

How do I enable alpha channel?
