How can I edit multiple pictures clip lengths???

Ive got hundreads of pictures that i want to edit to the same clip length. I have tried to select all of the pictures and edit speed/duration but it doesn't seem to work - anyone know why?

Its probably really obvious but i cant find it at all!!! Has anyone done this before or got any ideas???

change your project settings so that your still clip duration is the length that you want all your still to be, and then when you pull in any still image it will by default be that length. you will have to reimport your stills or make a new project with the correct still length settings.

Thanks thats good, but how do actually do it? ( i have premier pro 2.0 by the way) I might be being a bit dumb but i have tried to change the settings on the new project but can find the right one to change. Which parts do i change??
