How can I do this?

I know the long and arduous method, and that is by actually cutting up the photos into 20 pieces and panning a camera, but is there an easier way to do this? Is there a plug-in in Combustion, AE, or Nuke that would make this possible? How did they make the lines move? thanks

I do believe there is one for Motion and AE both. I'll have to look tomorrow and see.
