Hi there,
I am planning on purchasing a large amount of gear as I am moving from part time to full time freelance videographer and I no longer want to rent gear on a project to project basis but build up my own kit. My problem is that I am really stuggling to find retailers in Germany that supply the kind of equipment I am looking for. Most of the stuff I am after ie, lights from ePhoto, tripods such as Fancier 270a come from the US and it's really hard to find out what the shipping costs are and what taxes I'd have to pay for this stuff. I have a budget of around 1500 Euros for audio, stabilisers and light but it's very hard to work out what to go for with these 'hidden' costs of importing.
My question is does anyone know a retailer in Germany that supplies all this type of equipment (similar to B&H in the US) or is there a better way of buying these type of goods from outside the country?
