How are these effects done , MUSIC VIDEO

First and foremost I am a student learning how to shoot and edit very very basic material. I was online and ran across this trailer and thought it looked amazing

I tried contacting the director and got no reply, so can anyone who specializes in this kind of look give me some or any kind of insight on how this is achieved. The footage to my untrained eye looks excellent and I have nothing but the outmost respect for the director, editor and artist
 
Creative Lighting and planned shots first off. Some creative secondary color correction and finished off with some After Effects. Looks like Trapcode Particular for the sparks coming off his hand and head. Some Knoll light factory or Optical flares. Some Twitch effects. I would also guess a little curves and levels.
