Hot Shoe Mount

Does anyone have any experience with mounting a monitor on a hot shoe mount?
Which do you recommend, i've found a few but with mixed reviews of threads stripping and the thing falling apart all together. Can anyone personally recommend a specific hot shoe mount?
-Thanks

If you're mounting a monitor to a hotshoe, there's a good chance that brand makes proprietary hotshoe mounts or adapters, with other accessories such as articulating arms and such. I'd recommend staying with the brand of the monitor if they have such.

I bit the bullet and bought a Noga Arm. Its great, feels so sturdy and well made. Haven't mounted my monitor but i'm confident that it'll be extremely stable with the monitor.
Still gotta thread my DIY enclosure for the articulating arm.

The Noga doesn't look too bad, a lot like one made by Marshall for their monitors. Though that's quite a long arm.. if you're going to be using the monitor at times where you don't need the articulation, or using it on a smaller camera's hotshoe, there's a couple other options to consider, like the Manfrotto 482LCD, or a similar one made by Litepanels.

I got a hotshoe mount from EVS when I got my marshall...it's sturdy..But I don't think it was intended for a marshall but for arri perhaps.
