Hey.... I'm planning to shoot a campy horror-halloween feature for a local cable station. We'll be shooting indoor/outdoor locations with the DVX100a and a Lowell DV 4-light kit..We also have a fog machine... I'm looking for camera angle/settings and lighting suggestions for shooting dramatic horror scenes (The main character is a female AX murderer who plots to kill her former boyfriends... and we plan to have a murder scene at the end of the feature.)

Thanks.....
Jeff

Jackman's article about "Lighting the Darkness" is excellent. Thanks for the link...

Re: Horror/Thriller Lighting Rec's

THANK YOU!

i am literally in the middle of planning a short with a very important night time shoot on a city street and this article is amazing!

i have the lighting book by the author of this book and it is great, but having the article specifically about that shot was just too cool!

That article, and his entire book, has really helped me a lot. Jack knows his stuff.
