Horrible lines when I press pause on dvd

I've tried everything...

I Made an AVI of my old camcorder video and the avi is fine...I then use DVD architect and prepare and burn and it has them horrible bulky lines when I press pause or when the pic has a lot of moving...

There is no option but either progressive or not...the frame rate is on 25 (I think that's right for pal...

Now with my new Camera (dvx100) it's fine and I can make a DVD...

I would post a pic of what the dvd player see's but when I paste the PRNT screen into paint the pic dissapears anyway...but it's like interlaced lines...but anyway i've just found out that sony movie studio can burn movies too instead of me annoyingly spending 3 hours rendering out then time importing into dvd architect...hopefully the camcorder stuff will work without those probs...I'm giving it a try :)

Edit: oh crap, it now says send to architect studio but this is the DVX footage, will see whether my other camcorder work comes up the same later...
