horizontal width of different formats?

What are actual dimensions of the following formats and chip sizes? I'm trying to come up with some accurate idea of what lens equivilents are and I keep finding #'s that significantly differ.

I'm interested mainly in the horizontal width and not in the diagonal or in numbers derived from assuming that a 2/3" chip is actually 2/3" (which it may not be.)

SLR full aperture

Academy - not projection but camera negative's image size

2/3" 16:9 chip (like an HDCam or varicam)

1/2" 16:9 chip ( like Sony Ex-1)

1/3" 16:9 chip ( like an HVX - didn't Barry discover the actual dimension?)

If you have numbers for 16, super 16, & super 35 that's OK also but the ones above are the ones I care about .

Here's some guesses from stuff I was able to glean & it matches some of my observations. The 32mm figure for SLR I got from a Panavision FOV calculartor and it suddenly made other numbers work. (BTW I've changed these numbers a few times since I poosted about 1/2 hour ago.)

SLR full aperture - 32mm

Academy - not projection but camera negative's image size - 24mm

2/3" 16:9 chip (like an HDCam or varicam) - 9.6mm (read this on the web)

1/2" 16:9 chip ( like Sony Ex-1) - 7.2mm (derived from the 2/3" size)

1/3" 16:9 chip ( like an HVX - didn't Barry discover the actual dimension?) - 4.8mm (just halved the 2/3" )
