horizontal lines all the sudden...

I recently finished a short film project - done in 24pA, and all setup just fine on FCP (no interlace etc...) and outputted to mini-DV for the color correct on another system, then sent back to mini-DV...

then when I captured the new colour corrected stuff, and put it on the timeline - it did NOT need to be rendered...so I figured all was O.K, then I played it and..

on every 2nd frame it has horizontal (interlaced?) lines across the image.

it's like this: 2 frames fine, 2 frames with lines.

Any idea how I can fix this so I can burn it to DVD?

Thanks

Forgot to mention, I'm 24pa - sequence preset : 23.98

capture with the 48khz advance pulldown removal

edit on 23.98

Sorry to bump again, but I need this done ASAP, people are waiting to watch it (producer/friends)

....so I looked into it and this is the problem:

I shot/captured and edited footage shot 24pA = no problems.
then it was dumped onto whatever computer and colored on DaVinci at Delux , they then dumped it back onto mini DV (and digibeta) - but now the mini DV is no longer 24p ...is that correct?

so, what should my capture settings be for this colour corrected mini-DV?

- seems every setting I tried has interlaced/horizontal lines on every 3-4th frame.

please someone help!

I think your footage is now NTSC interlaced, so digitize using DV NTSC 48kHz (No Advanced Pulldown). Won't look "film" like because its not 24pA anymore, but should be the correct setting.

cheers.
