Hello,

I've got a new DVX100B and am starting to shoot a project myself and I'm having trouble finding the settings to properly hook up a Sony WCS-999 wirless lav to the camera. I was working with a DP who I remember seeing him adjusting something in camera's menu settings. Since I'm no longer working with him, he won't help me out or reply to my issue. I tried to hook it into the first input, but it did not record sound. Can anyone please take me through steps in the camera settings to properly hook it up? The manual just doesn't seem to give the details, I'm sure it's very easy to do but I'm still in the learning phase.

Thanks!:)

check if you are in mic level position on the front where is the xlr is , check that ch1 set to external ch-1 and not the camera mic , check it set to ch-1 and not 2 ( the second can go to the first as well and block the input ) , set the input level for -50 in rec menu setting .
increase the level on the ch-1 weal
if it still not work check your cable or fq settings ( dont know this model if its single channel or multi) on the tx/rx

Thank you for your help.... I'm not sure how to increase the level on the ch-1 weal? and what that is? I do believe the other DP changed from -60db to -50db, not sure what that does to make the wireless work but that's probably what I forgot to do when we tested the mic.
